Eagles History

The start of the Indian Forest Companies FKA the Indian Forest Club Association Inc is an interesting story indeed due in part to the current state of the organization now. The Indian Forest Club Association began as an idea. Antwon Kitchen and Boumie Yaung were extremely bored during the summer of 2000 and decided to form a kids club. Word spread quickly about their intention and the interest of  the start of a brand new club. The founding membership grew from two members to fifteen members.
A constitutional committee was assembled and scheduled to convene from Monday, June 19 thru Friday, June 23, 2000. At the first meeting, the committee consisting of all members, duly elected Antwon Kitchen to serve as Presiding Officer and Boumie Yaung to serve as Deputy Presiding Officer. The focus was to draft a constitution that would promote independence and provide the club with stability and strong governance. The constitutional committee and founding members were as follows:

1. Antwon Kitchen- Presiding Officer
2. Boumie Yaung- Deputy Presiding Officer and Secretary
3. Kenneth Kitchen
4. Latara Kitchen
5. Brandon Ross
6. Antione Gibbs
7. Crystal Kitchen
8. Yolanda Washington
9. Anthony Kitchen
10. Bobby Terry
11. Kevin Terry
12. Justin Terry
13. Arron Gibbs
14. Brian Mcneil
15. Khalil Mikell

Each member gave their opinions on how the new government should be and as a result, gave birth to a our first constitution. On Friday, June 23, 2000, Presiding Officer Kitchen made a motion to adjourn the meeting and signature the constitution as law. All members signed the document and the Indian Forest Club Association was born. This was a day filled with glory and joy, a brand new organization was created in our community.
On June 26, 2000, the members held a special election to elect the President and Chief Executive. Even though he expressed that he had no interest to run for President, the general members had other plans. When the votes were counted, every general member elected and chose Presiding Officer Antwon Kitchen to serve as their President. On July 9, 2000, Presiding Officer Antwon Kitchen proudly and boldly took the oath of office administered by AYA (Atlanta Youth Association) President Jerry McMurry to become the First President and Chief Executive of the Indian Forest Club Association. From the very beginning, President Kitchen stated that he intends to take the club to a new level and a new height and encouraged the future officers and general members to join him.
On July 12, 2000, just days after being seated as President and Chief Executive, Antwon Kitchen appointed the executive staff and nominated six general members to the Board of Directors. These individuals would become known as the first official government of the Indian Forest Club Association. The following were appointed:
